Application of mathematics is the key to understanding the world around us. We strive to open your eyes to the world as we see it through our mathematical lenses. As a class, we share our blog, our knowledge, and our growth and it is "Co-sined" by all of us.
Recent studies have shown that you need to know basic math for working in business ownership. Before you even get a business started you have to think about costs, how much it will cost to manufacture your product and so forth. A major part of it is knowing your profit, if you're making enough money for your company. If you aren't getting enough profit then your losing money and won't be able to sustain your business. The business would need to reduce their costs of things, whatever it may be that they're selling to stay open. For an example arithmetic math is used almost always to help with taxes, manage your budgets and calculate expenses. Without using basic math no businesses would be thriving like they are today. Even after starting a buisness and putting out product., a buisness owner will still have to adapt to changing times. For example, they will have to be capable of handling rasies in taxes, economic depression, and a dip in deamnd. As stated before if a business does not make a profit it cannot be suistanied.

Math is used for pretty much everything in business. They need it to calculate transactions, take inventory, and many more applications. Math was invented because of the need for a way to count and measure things.

I can only imagine how much math you have to know when owning a business. There is a lot of orginization also when it comes to this. I'm sure there a specific degree that you have to go through and most classes are math. It's good that there is math in this type of major because of the cost like you said. Which is not really that complex but still a lot of classes

Business seems to handle a lot of math. I think that not only do they have to budget all the expenses to keep the business open and enhance it, statistics might come into play. It is to show how many customers come in and request for service, etc. That might show how much they can earn in the business as well as what is popular or what the customers like.

I agree with your post because many people would like to just jump into a business and not worry about the cost. But math can teach many people how to run a business properly. Although, there is a lot of math involved. Good post!

Math is heavily involved in businesses. Like you said when starting a business, the owner has to calculate the costs and taxes. A business also needs to use math to determine if they are losing money or gaining money. I agree with you, math has a lot to do with a business.

You proved a big point in how and why we need to learn math. Just like you said business takes the basic math of start one but there will be other things that we need higherror math. Math is in everything and there will be no way to get rid of math in our world today. Just like running a business you need to calculate the profit, whenever we get paid we have to calculate how much money we need to save to be able to pay many bills.

This is a prime example of how math can be applied to real-world topics. Business is a very important field as well, so it seems fitting that there is quite a bit of math involved with calculating expenses, taxes, how much money to save, etc. Well done.

Without math, businesses would not even be able to function because they couldn't keep up with costs and adapt to new prices. Growing up around people who have started businesses I've seen how hard it is for them to use math from balancing their budget to sending in taxes like you said. People tend to take for granted all the basic math we learn when it is the basis of many successful businesses today.

This is definitely true becuase in order to run any business , you must know how to manage your money. The world consists of many numbers ; however, knowing how to work those numbers makes the money.

I agree. Business is a very important field were math is required. And the math ranges from stats and probability to taxes and costs of items. People would not even be able to control their business without math.

I agree. When started a business you have to look at the costs to run it and if it will be successful. Math is used lots in businesses because most businesses are all number based.
